Bury and Oldham

I went to visit Sarah Sanders at Bury Museum and Art Gallery today, she’s been doing a residency there for the last two weeks. She had a chance to dig around in their collection and has chosen some stunning paintings and etchings to show in the magnificent gallery space. She’s been performing in the gallery alongside the objects she picked out.

If you’re out and about in Bury tomorrow go and see Sarah and her beautiful work, she’ll be performing between 11.30 and 1.30. It’s the last chance to see it!

Also, Ian Irvine has a new show coming up at Gallery Oldham with Denis Whiteside, go here for more details. It starts on 11th September and is called On the Surface. Ian is the printmaker who made the bags for Issue 1, the exhibition is on until 27th November. Looking forward to making the trip up to Oldham to see this.

  1. I forgot to say in this post that Sarah was in issue 1. Her contribution was the black and white photograph of the apple tree..
